The War of the Three Powers was a global conflict that took place on the planet Aldia from the 11th November 1439 until the 9th of September 1444. The war was between the nations of the Polystralian Commonwealth, its allies against the Coalition of Ordered Governments and United Emirates of Sanmite. More than 100 million military personnel were mobilized by both factions throughout the duration of the war and more than 40 million people lost their lives. The war also marked the first time nuclear weapons were used on Aldia.
The war began when the Coalition of Ordered Governments invaded the Gao Republic, a protectorate of the Polystralian Commonwealth on the 11th November 1439. The Coalition was aided by the United Emirates of Sanmite, a fellow superpower and half a dozen other nations. Within less than a year the CoG and the United Emirates were able to easiliy annex most of Polystralia's protectorates and by 1442 they had begun the invasion of the Commonwealth itself.
The CoG was ruled by a single party authoritarian regime and was widely known to use ethnic and religious minorities as scapegoats of economic, political and social woes. TBC
