Prince Alexander of Brasland (1873-1934) was the son of Prince Paul Ludwig of Brasland.

In 1907 he married his first cousin, Princess Margarita, daughter of King Frederick IV. They had two children: Alexander Ulrich (born 1909), Iris (born 1911) and Rudolf (born 1918).

The family divided their time between their official duties in Markund and a quiet life in Balkenstein Castle, which Alexander inherited from his father.

He died in 1934.
