General Information |
Overview
The Vanguard-class is a class of nuclear-powered ballistic missile submarines (SSBN) in service with the Californian Imperial Navy. Each submarine is armed with 40 Sea Sentinel missiles. The class was introduced in 2273 as part of the Californian Empire government's Sea Sentinel nuclear weapons program. The class includes twelve boats: Vanguard, Vengeance, Victory, Viking, Vaunted, Vindictive, Volturnus, Venerator, Vixen, Viperine, Venomous and Venus. They were built at Long Beach by United Naval Ship Yards between 2269 and 2280.
