Prince Alexander of Brasland (1873-1934) was the son of Prince Paul Ludwig of Brasland.

In 1907 he married his first cousin, Princess Margarita, daughter of King Frederick IV. They had three children: Alexander Ulrich (born 1909), Iris (born 1911) and Rudolf (born 1918). The children were given the style of Royal Highness in 1920.

The family divided their time between their official duties in Markund and a quiet life in Balkenstein Castle, which Alexander inherited from his father.

He died in 1934.
