Prince Élie von Hohenburg (born 1962) is a Braslander nobleman. He is the son of Prince Charles von Hohenburg.
He was rebellious and wild from a young age. In 1978 he was expelled from the prestigious Institut St Alban (the Arenland's most exclusive boarding school) his parents sent him to a public school. After graduating he served two years in the Army and then went to study Business at the University of St Philippe. However, he dropped out after a year and started to help his father in the management of the family estate.
In 1988 he married Princess Hélène de Courtenay. They had a son, Charles-Henri, born that same year. The marriage did not last long. Élie was unfaithful and abandoned his wife and son to live in Halvan, where he led a turbulent life. Hélène died in 1995 after a long illness, and Charles-Henri was raised by his paternal grandparents.
Élie remarried in 1997 to Aline de Mervoux. They have three children: Melusine (born 1996), Corisande (born 1998) and Pierre (born 2001).
The Prince was cut off by his parents after he left his first wife and ignored his son. As a result, his son Charles-Henri, and not him, will inherit Moulinjaune after Prince Charles' death.
He and his family live in Halvan.
