Architecture

Telver has a vast collection of buildings and structures of various architectural styles. Many examples of Modernist & Socialist Realist architecture can be found here, due to a boom in construction and architectural innovation in the Chianski SFR, and in Telver in particular, supported not only by the Chianskian Government's architectural and engineering design bureaus, but also by top firms from other nations. As a result of this boom, modern architecture has literally been taken to new levels in skyscraper building design and technology. Telver now has more completed or topped-out skyscrapers higher than 2⁄3 km (2,200 ft), 1⁄3 km (1,100 ft), or 1⁄4 km (820 ft) than any other city. A culmination point was reached in 1997 with the completion of both The Twin Towers (Chianski Towers) and One Chianski Plaza, which latter being one the world's tallest building at 629.8 m. The completion of the Twin Towers and One Chianski Plaza, following the construction boom that began in the 1970s, accelerated in the 1980s, and took on a rapid pace of construction unparalleled in modern history during the 1990s & 2000s, leaves Telver with one of the tallest skylines on Urth. Top of Urth at One Chianski Plaza, is one of the highest open air observatory decks on Urth and is one of Telver's most popular tourist attractions, with over 1.85 million visitors in 2017.
