Juan I (1823-1889) was the King of Mayagua between 1854 and 1889. He succeeded his father, Maximiliano I, who was the first monarch of the country.

He was married in 1845 to Infanta Augusta Fernanda, daughter of King Leopoldo I of Providencia y San Andrés. They had five children: Luisa (b. 1847), Maximiliano (b. 1848), María Ana (b. 1850), Francisco (b. 1853, Archbishop of La Libertad) and Leopoldo (b. 1856).

He died in 1889, and was succeeded by his son, Maximiliano II.
