Key Issues

Whaling and Seal Clubbing

Whaling is legal and regulated, with quotas in place to limit the impact of said activity. Since whale is only used in traditional cuisine, there isn't much of a market for it, so enforcing the quotas is not difficult. Seal clubbing is illegal however, due to the inhumane practices involved. Obtaining the furs and meat from seals is done using a kill-stick, and also regulated with quotas.
