Xarcan, officially the People's Republic of Xarcan (PROX), is a NationState located in New Zealandia. It is largest nation by land area in New Zealandia, covering over 18,000,000 km2 of northern Africa on the regional map. As of October 23, 2014 it has a population of 198 million. It is a dictatorial totalitarian state, categorized as "Iron Fist Consumerists" by NationStates. The government of Xarcan exercises authority over six provinces, three incorporated territories, the military region of East Point, and the capital district of Xarcan City. Xarcan shares maritime borders with Melancholy fields in the Indian Ocean north of the Mozambique Channel, and with Shahak in the Mediterranean and Red seas. It also shares a land border with Shahak on the eastern edge of the Sinai Peninsula, crossing through the Desert of Paran. Xarcan spans a total of five time zones and includes a climate that is fairly barren due to poor environmental policy. However, Xarcan still contains ecosystems ranging from the arid subtropical desert of the Sahara to the humid tropical broadleaf forests of the Guinea region. The Atlas Mountains and the Ethiopian Highlands are the two major mountain ranges located in Xarcan. The Nile and Niger rivers are the first- and fourteenth-longest in New Zealandia, and Xarcan has coastline along the Atlantic and Indian Oceans.
