Alexander I (Alexander Albert John Michael George; born 14 March 1978) is the Emperor of the Empire of Ferrodwiyin, comprising Ferrodwiyin, the Kingdom of Bedoria, the Grand Principality of Keralis, the Duchy of Itius-Vorlingtoon, the Grand Duchy of Gallymnana, the Principality of Eurenus, the Principality of Esciestica, the County-Duchy of Brerova, the Duchy of Sandenburg, and the Grand Duchy of Prado Norte. He is also head of the Ducal house of Lizt. He is the son of Grand Prince Michael, Grand Prince of Keralis, who would have succeeded his father Emperor John X had he not been murdered in 1985, and Alice, Grand Princess of Keralis (née Lady Alice de Nenci, later The Duchess of Renaux, head of the formerly-sovereign Ducal House of Renaux, granted the title of peers and precedence over all nobles by King Frederick in 1910). He has an elder sister, Grand Princess Barbara, Duchess of Proloma; and a younger brother, Grand Prince Stefan Augustus, Duke of Engona. Emperor Alexander is married to Princess Mary of Alexandrovich (now Empress Mary), with whom he has three children. The Emperor's personal net worth is estimated at around $27 billion, his real estate including land on all of the Empire, as well as the United Kingdom, France, Russia, Germany, and the United States. Approximately 3/4 of Ferrodwiyin's royal residences, as well as several mines, industrial plants, and plantations, belong to him. He is also owner of one of the most important art and jewellery collections,

Early Life

Alexander was born in Andalacia, Ferrodwiyin, the second child and first son of Grand Prince Michael, Grand Prince of Keralis and Alice, 10th Duchess of Renaux. He was christened at the chapel of Thorbington Palace on 21 March 1978, his godparents being Maria Vladimirovna of Russia, a second cousin of his father; Georg Friedrich, Prince of Prussia, first cousin of both of his parents; his aunt Monique, Hereditary Grand Duchess of Alexandrovich; and Johanna, Countess of Andringa, a close friend of his father's. From his birth he was styled Imperial and Royal Highness as a grandchild of the monarch and Grand Prince in Keralis as the eldest son of the heir to the throne.

Education

Alexander started attending the private Holy Mary Institute in Andalacia at age six and kept on attending it until age nine, when he was sent to study at the Schule Schloss Salem until age eighteen. Emperor Alexander speaks English, Spanish, French, German, and is fluent in Russian.

Death of Grand Prince Michael

The Grand Prince of Keralis was assassinated by republican extremists in 1985, when Alexander was seven years old. From that moment on, the Dowager Grand Princess of Keralis, who reassumed her title as Duchess of Thorb, limited his exits of Saint Andrew's Palace to school, and traveled to the late Grand Prince's countryside residence, Etria House, on weekends and vacations. Alexander was not allowed to visit his grandfather's court, and no one could enter the Etria estate without extreme security measures being taken, which isolated Alexander and his siblings on their summer and Christmas breaks when they were not at School in Germany. On his father's death, his grandfather granted him the title of Grand Prince of Keralis and its equivalents.

Grand Prince of Keralis

On 27 September 1986, Emperor John X bestowed the Grand Principality of Keralis on eight-year-old Alexander through an Imperial Proclamation, officially making him heir apparent to the Ferrodwiyinian throne. His coming of age ceremony, where he swore allegiance to his grandfather, was held on 14 July 1994 in Thorbington Palace, as age sixteen is considered majority for young men and women in Ferrodwiyin's society. Later that year, his aunt Lady Violet de Nenci married the Hereditary Grand Duke of Alexandrovich. During the ceremony, held in Alexandrovich, he met and developed feelings for the groom's second cousin, fifteen-year-old Princess Mary. On 1997, as a celebration of his nineteenth birthday and graduation from Schule Schloss Salem, Alexander, his cousin Prince Hugo of Bedoria, and their close friend Lord James Marlborough, went on a world trip, where they visited the United Kingdom, Spain, Russia, Greece, the United States, and Monaco. Alexander and Prince Hugo were granted honours on each country and all three of them were regarded as distinguished guests. He returned to Ferrodwiyin on 1998.

Marriage and family

Alexander married Princess Mary of Alexandrovich on 28 November 1999, when he was 21 and she was 20. The office was presided by the Archbishop of Andalacia in Saint Alexander's Cathedral in Andalacia. Members of nobility, foreign royals and dignitaries, and influential people of the Empire were invited to the ceremony. The couple have three children: Grand Prince Nicholas, Grand Prince of Keralis, born on 6 June 2000; Grand Prince Michael, Duke of Virycova, born on 9 April 2002; and Grand Princess Angelique, Duchess of Panatron, born on 28 February 2004.

Accession and coronation

Emperor John X died on 14 November 2011 at age 85 in Kintcot House, making Alexander the fourth Emperor of Ferrodwiyin. On 15 November, Alexander was consecrated by his grandfather's priest the Bishop of Execanvy as Alexander I, although Ferrodwiyinian Law states that once one monarch dies, the other immediately succeeds to the throne, thus not formally needing a consecration or any other ceremony. The coronation of the Ferrodwiyinian monarch marks the beginning of his or her religious role within the Empire as head of the Church of Ferrodwiyin. Prior to the coronation, the title is held by the Archbishop of Andalacia. The body of John X left Kintcot on 19 November, arriving to Andalacia with its funeral procession, which included the titular King of Bedoria, Maria Vladimirovna of Russia, the Count of Paris, and the Hereditary Prince of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha the following day. After laying in Ordis Palace for two days, it was transferred to Saint Alexander's Imperial Crypt. Alexander was coronated by the Archbishop of Andalacia in Saint Alexander's on 27 November 2012.
