The 2009 González Archipelago Conflict also called the One Week War is a conflict that erupted in late-2009 after military forces from Narsora attempted to retake the Torisakian controlled islands of González Isle.
Background
The island chain known in Narsora as the González Archipelago was occupied by the country of FR Torisakia in 1973. Since then several threats have been made by both nations to keep control or retake the islands from the other.
Conflict
In late-2009, the Narsoran government launched a military operation to retake the islands and on December 9 narsoran forces invaded the islands in an attempt to force torisakian forces out. Seeing the increased capabilites of the Narsorans since the previous conflict, they appealed to foreign aid which came in the form of the country of Teinohikira and nation matching the narsorans in strength. As a result of poor organization narsoran forces were unprepared for the massive force of Torisakian and Teinohikiran troops stationed on the island and suffered heavy causalties and withdrew one week later.
Aftermath
The conflict further strained relations between the three countries and resulted in a near large scale conflict in 2014.
