The first ever särherhüs was held in Darkmania in November 1872. It as also the first elections after the newly adopted constitution of Darkmania, paving the way for democracy.

The Reformists founded themselves as the first official party in 1871 with a central leader (Yrëg Asvärg). Despite a loss of 19 seats, the Reformists (Later known as the "Liberals") won the election.
