The 2017 Omerican federal election was held on Friday, 2 June 2017 to determine the 300 members of the House of Representatives in the 34th Federal Diet of Omerica.

The Omerican Socialist Party, led by incumbent Prime Minister William Rainier, won a historic third term in government. In contrast, the Reformist Party, led by Alexander van Agteren, scored their worst ever federal election result, falling to third place for the first time since their formation in 1909 and allowing the Liberal Democrats to form the Official Opposition at the federal level for the first time since 1916. Overall, Omerica’s two historically dominant political parties suffered swings towards smaller rivals on the same side of the political spectrum, with the Socialists suffering a 1.88 percentage point swing toward the Federal Social Greens and the Reformists a 5.31 point swing toward the Liberal Democrats.
