The 2nd VS-Panzer Division Das Reich is an armored formation in the Rotgeheiman Verteidigungsstaffel best known for its actions during the Northern Territory War. Das Reich has over 20,000 soldiers, and is led by Generalmajor (Brigadier General) Josef Hitzig.
Formation
The 2nd VS-Panzer Division Das Reich was a part of the original expansion of the Verteidigungsstaffel in the late 1880s. Several more armor, infantry, and artillery regiments were created and allocated to the newly-created divisions, with Das Reich receiving its subordinate units first. By the end of the 1880s, the division was fully functional.
