The 7th Shock Fleet was a military formation of Volsvakian Navy commanded by Admiral Yuri Verchenko. It was made up of a vast array of forty different seafaring vessels that were tasked with assisting Porantan forces during the 10 Days War. It was formed by the Volsvakian Navy at an unknown date (although Rotgeheiman naval intelligence gathered from sunken and captured Volsvakian ships suggests the formation was no longer than a few months old, hence the ad hoc assortment of ships) and lasted until the end of the Volsvakian involvement in the 10 Days War. Although the size of the formation is daunting, the 7th Shock Fleet was made up of many obsolete vessels, and its sailors were not particularly well-trained.

10 Days War

The formation took part in one engagement during the 10 Days War. This naval action pit the forces of Volsvakia against those of Rotgeheim and the Goryevdren Islands. Although the 7th Shock Fleet held numerical superiority, the obsolescence of the ships and the under-trained sailors prevented victory from being achieved. The irreplaceable losses sustained by the 7th Shock Fleet have caused the engagement to be appropriately named the Destruction of the 7th Shock Fleet. Over half of the battle-worthy seafaring vessels that were a part of the 7th Shock Fleet were sank, and many more were damaged. The commander of the fleet, Admiral Yuri Verchenko, was killed in action when the flagship of the fleet - the VNS Gegemoniya - was sunk halfway into the battle.

Disbanding

The formation was presumably disbanded after the collapse of the Volsvakian government.
