The 91st Military Police Brigade (Spanish: 91 º brigada de policía militar) are the military police unit of the Narsoran National Army. Formed in 1991, consists of six battalions or around 5,000 personnel.

History

The Brigade was formed in March 1991 six years after the disastrous 1985 Narsora City Riots due to the military having no dedicated policing units larger than company size, and the National Police's poor record with mass protests. They have been involved in every major mass disturbance since 1991.

Equipment

As the brigade is under direct control of the national army, it uses all of the same equipment. MPO's are armed and usually carry Pepper spray, handcuffs, a communications device, ballistic helmet visors, batons and the military's standard issue SIG P226 pistol, although when patroling garrisons are usually issued their Galil ACE rifles as well.

Uniform

Military police are distinguished by a brassard with "MP" worn on the shoulder and helmet. The unit wears the camouflage pattern of the National Army shown below.

Insignia
