Adam, Prince von Hohenburg (1703-1761) was a Braslander landowner. He was the son of Lazarus Balkronn.

Unlike his father, he did not have political ambitions, but family pressure was strong and Lazarus secured for him the position of Governor of Grünmark in 1729. His rule, closely watched by King Frederick II (his first cousin), was stable and moderate. He resigned in 1738 and retired to his estates. He was not interested in Court life and preferred to focus on farming, studying new techniques to increase the production of his lands. He bought vast tracks of land near the small town of Thurwald, and moved there with his family in 1750.

In 1728 he married his first cousin, Princess Antonia of Brasland. Initially they were both reluctant to each other and the marriage was troubled, but eventually they became very attached to each other and genuinely loved one another. They had twelve children: Marie Caroline (born 1729), Lazarus (born and died 1730), Lazarus (born and died 1731), Maria Johanna (born 1733), Marie Therese (born 1734), Anselm (born 1736), Emmeram (born 1738), Johann Nepomuk (1740-1749), Philipp (born 1741), Maria Franziska (born 1744), Marie Dorothea (born and died 1745) and Marie Elisabeth (born 1747).

He died in 1761.
