Antarctica is a continent surrounding Earth's South Pole. Being a polar region, the continent is usually depicted as a place with year-round freezing temperatures, very little precipitation, and an uninhabitable landscape, usually covered by a massive ice cap. Numerous countries maintain scientific missions on the continent, many others have laid claim to Antarctic lands for various reasons, even a couple of regions have settled the desolate landmass, including Antarctica and Antarctic Oasis.
Specific RP conceptions of Antarctica
Within the East Pacific universe, Antarctica is the most uninhabited place on the Urth. Serenitech is literally the only nation in the region that has any claims in the area.
