Count August von Lichtenberg (1906-1980) was a Braslander nobleman. He was the son of Count Joseph von Lichtenberg.

In 1929 he married Baroness Agnes von Lottenburg. They had children: Maximiliana (born 1930), Gebhardt (born 1932), Julian (born 1933) and Wilhelm (1935-1940).

The Count and his family came under public scrutiny in 1945, when he shot his wife, leaving her with severe wounds. Although he was drunk at the time of the incident, there had been previous reports of violence inside the Lichtenberg household. The couple discreetly separated, but August did not recover mentally from the incident. He committed suicide in 1953.
