Christian Nations Armed Forces Act

The Christian Nations Armed Forces Act was passed to give shape to the International Christian Army in a series of bills to give shape to agencies that had a nebulous existence. It was authored by the Christian States.

This act hereby creates the League of Christian Nations Department of Defense as an inactive department. An inactive department shall be defined as a department which shall permanently exist, but shall only have an appointed staff when in use or the regional government elects to permanently activate the department.

I. Leadership

A. If Inactive

The International Christian Army is to act under the direction of a region-wide elected office. This offices include, but are not limited to:

i. Positions

The department shall be headed by a region wide elected Secretary of Defense, who shall simultaneously act as General of the Armies of the Christian Nations. The Secretary shall have the power to appoint, with approval of the Secretary-General or Founder, Secretaries of each of the three branches. These Secretaries shall simultaneously be the General of the Christian Nations' "name of branch".

ii. Titles

During peacetime, the heads shall be referred to by the Secretary titles, but shall always maintain their General titles.

During wartime, the heads shall be referred to by their General titles by the Armed Forces, but still by Secretary titles by the general populace.

II. Contents

The Army shall consist of forces which national governments have designated may be used by the LCN government should need arise. These shall be divided into the Christian Air Force, International Christian Army, and Christian Navy. Not to be confused with the be confused with the three core branches of the Christian States Armed Forces.

III. Funding

A. If Permanently Active

Funding for the International Christian Armed Forces shall be appropriated by the Christian Parliament Standing Committee on Defense. The Committee shall consist of the four Permanent Members of the Security Council, one annual member(to rotate every four months), and two non-members to be chosen by the Secretary-General at the same four month mark.

B. If Activated Temporarily

The International Christian Armed Forces shall be run on national donations alone, and any compensation shall be the sole responsibility of the each national government to their own soldiers. The temporarily appointed General of the Armies of the Christian Nations shall not receive compensation from the regional government.

C. Responsibilities

The International Christian Armed Forces shall be responsible for the defense of the region as a whole when militarily threatened. They shall also have the authority to aid in the defense of allied regions, as well as to help stabilize regions following a raid.

Under no circumstances shall the International Christian Armed Forces participate in any raid against any other region. This shall include all raider regions. Any executive that directs the execution of said raid shall face legal action and possible penalties by the regional government
