The stem clans all originate as cadet branches of the Royal clan Hairaru. Like the Hairaru, all of the stem clans have a mon, which functions similarly to a crest in other systems of nobility.

- Matsui — matrilineal branch of the Yoshiyuki via Yoshiyuki Sayano.
- Hateno — matrilineal branch of the Yoshiyuki via Yoshiyuki Hisayo
