The Coalition is an alliance of three center-right parties in Aldia, forming one of the four major political parties in the Colonial Parliament. The other parties being: Labor, the Greens and the New Colonial Alliance. It is the primary opponent of the Colonial Labor Party although in recent years the New Colonial Alliance has begun to challenge the Coalition in the outer colonies.

The three partners that form the Coalition are the Liberal Party of Aldia, the Aldian Democrats and the Conservative Party of Aldia. The Liberals, being the largest party, generally becomes the leader of the Coalition while the Democrats (the second largest) appoints its leader as a Deputy Leader in the Coalition. The Conservatives on the otherhand are given the position of General Secretary of the Coalition. All three parties have different voter bases which allows it to attract a large number of votes without having to compromise their own ideologies and platforms. The Liberals attracting voters from large urban centers, the Democrats gets its votes from space habitats and the outer colonies, whereas the Conservatives gain their votes from mostly rural areas. This partnership system has been in place since the establishment of the coalition in 1618 and has changed very little since then.

The three parties maintain separate organization structures however they all cooperate in a variety of ways that has been agreed upon by the Writ of Coalition, a formal declaration of the alliance whereupon all three parties has established in what pieces of legislation that all parties must vote together, and those that they may have a free vote. This alliance only exists on the central level of government. The relationship between the three parties at the colonial level varies between planet to planet and sector to sector.
