A Diadochian imperial mistress or Imperial favorite is the title given to a person who is the lover of the Emperor of Diadochia.
The page refers to all woman, as well as men titled imperial favorites who were lovers of the Emperor, because a few monarchs had male interests as well as female. It should be noted that not all male and female favorites were lovers of the monarch, however quite a few actually were. Maîtresse officielle
The title of Maîtresse officielle (Official Mistress) was historically born by the Emperor's chief mistress. It was a semi-official position and it even came with its own apartments in the Imperial Palace. The office is no longer occupied, because the current Emperor has been faithful for most of his marriage.
