Eridani Theta, also known as the United Provinces of Eridani Theta, was a Federal Semi-Authoritarian Autocracy. Being part of the Spes Region, Eridani Theta was an island nation located off the coast of Isklevyu, south of Algaisia, and north of Fortuna. The nation consists of three notable islands, however only the main island of Eridani Theta consisted of the majority of the nation's land mass and is the only one that is populated. Eridani Theta is a heavily populated island with an overall population of 26,208,984. The nation is also quite diverse with more than half of the population being human and the other half being vulpine.
Following the birth of the Empire in Fortuna within the Fortunan Archipelago, the island of Eridani Theta was still a collection of small separate states. In the late 1200s, Fortuna conquered the majority of Eridani Theta, bringing in their language, their culture, and thousands of colonists. However, by the end of the 16 century the empire had grown weak, and after it's collapse in the 1640s, Eridani Theta was left alone once more. With no one in power, the island collapsed into smaller states, always at war against each other. By the 18th century, the island was split between Northern Eridani Theta and Southern Eridani Theta, always at odds, always at war. This all changed in the mid 1900s when the military genius Eldur Mironov took control of the central provinces of Eridani Theta. Through decisive battles or negotiations, he was successful in conquering all of Eridani Theta on February 17, 1964. He set himself up as absolute ruler and became dictator of Eridani Theta. Following the rebirth of the Fortunan Empire in the 2000s, the idea of the reuniting of Eridani Theta with Fortuna began to grow within the nation. This sentiment reached unprecedented levels after the death of Eldur Mironov on January 24, 2011 and then the military victories of Fortuna within the Medium Islands. This sentiment is mainly prominent within the southern provinces of Eridani Theta, while the northern provinces the idea of joining with Fortuna is not as popular.
Following the Eridani Thetan November 2017 Referendum, the United Provinces of Eridani Theta was dissolved, followed by the split of the island between Ambravia and Fortuna.
