Franz Hubertus is best remembered for a famous duel he had with Count Roman von und zu Beierwald. He had had an affaire with the Countess and when her husband found out, he was outraged. Franz Hubertus, Prince von Lorensberg (1764-1844) was a Braslander nobleman. He was the son of Prince Ludwig von Lorensberg.
He was one of the most handsome men at Court, and as a result he was very coveted by women. From the age of seventeen he had numerous affaires and a string of illegitimate children.
In 1798 he married Countess Helene von Reuthen. They had six children: Antonia (born 1799), Ludwig (born 1800), Friederike (born 1801), Aloisia (1802-1804), Adolf (born 1805) and Camilla (1807-1823). She died in 1808.
