In 2004 he married Countess Josephine von Henslen. They have six children: Felizitas (born 2006), Alix (born 2008), Carl Felix (born 2010), Nicola (born 2012), Athena (born 2012) and Grazia (born 2014).
Franz works for Ledonitz Bank. He and his wife are one of the most popular couples of the younger Markund social set. They usually entertain at their mansion near Reutherhof Palace.
