Count Gerhard von Lindau (1865-1937) was a Braslander nobleman. He was the son of Count Ferdinand von Lindau.

In 1892 he married Countess Valerie von Thalensee. They had six children: Theodora (born 1893), Eloise (born 1895), Lavinia (born 1896), Albrecht (born 1898), Philippa (born 1900) and Hieronymus (born 1903; monk).

He managed the family interests and devoted a lot of his time to support different institutions. In 1921, as a way of mending relations between the Crown and the Lindau family, he was appointed Chamberlain by King Frederick V. The fact that he was the Queen's first cousin helped to stabilize relations.
