The Government of Tuvaltastan is a mix between meritocracy and democracy. It consists of a checks and balances system that keeps one branch of government from gaining too much power.

Governmental System

Residential part of the Governmental District of Novosibirsk

The Governmental System of Tuvaltastan consists of three branches that follow a checks-and-balances system. Every year, an election takes place for every Legislative position and Judicial position and every two years for each Executive position. There are limits on how long one person can be in office, however: for the Executive positions, the term limit is three, and for the Legislative and Judicial positions, the term limit is six.

Political Parties

There exist seven major political parties in Tuvaltastan, all of which have had individuals in a governmental position:

Democratic Party

The Democratic Party represents the majority views of the people, and constantly changes its political platform. Currently, it has a platform similar to the Socialist and Conservative Parties.

Socialist Party

The Socialist Party wants to add Socialism into the economic system of Tuvaltastan, but prominent members of the Socialist Party have explicitly stated they do not want to eradicate capitalism.

Conservative Party

The Tuvalt Conservative Party (TCP) wishes to minimize governmental influence in Tuvaltastan, and replace the power with city- and province-based governments.

Liberal Party

The Liberal Tuvalt Party (LTP) wants to maximize governmental power in Tuvaltastan.

Communist Party

The Party of Communist Tuvalts (PCT) wants to eliminate the capitalist economic system and replace it with a communist economic system.

Globalist Party

The Tuvalt Globalist Party (TGP) wants to integrate the Tuvalt economy into the world economy, and is the primary opponent of the Nationalist Party of Tuvaltastan.

Nationalist Party

The Nationalist Party of Tuvaltastan's (NPT) main political platform is to limit Tuvaltastan's involvement in foreign affairs.

Electoral Process

The electoral process for each position requires each candidate to take part in a simulation that focuses on the issues and everyday duties of the position each candidate is running for. As well as the simulation, a popular vote will take place. Each candidate's performance on the simulation will be scored. The candidates' score and their votes will be combined into an average, and whichever candidate has the highest average wins the election.
