The H1-Crown MBT, or Hammer Seires 1 Crown Main Battle Tank, is the result of a joint main battle tank project between Boudiccatech of The United Grand Republic of Kuhlfros and Sverd Industries of The United Federation of Prizyetsa.

Development

Sverd Industries and the Prizyetsi government was approached by representatives of the Grand Republic of Kuhlfros to design and produce a main battle tank together to benefit the Kuhlfrosian and Kiravian militaries.

"BoudiccaTech had been tasked with the Project to design a new MBT with cooperation from the Kiravian Armenwerke for both the nations of Kuhlfros and Kirav, however both of these companies lacked experience that Sverd Industries carried on its belt in designing these beasts of war, so the CEO of BoudiccaTech went on a limb and requested a joint-project between Sverd and Boudicca, in hopes they say yes and it would be of interest to the Prizyetsi people." -Kuhlfrosian representative

Manufacturing

The H1-Crown MBT is produced in two stages, the first in Prizyetsa and the second in Kuhlfros. The chassis, main gun, and many of the electrical components are produced by Sverd Industries, while the armor and any other extras are applied later in Kuhlfros. This decision was made as a compromise to Northern Union member states which would still allow for the deal between Kuhlfros and the Prizyetsi Federation to continue. An additional concern was that tech from a high tech Prizyetsi main battle tank could fall into the hands of certain LOTA members, an outcome which would be unacceptable.

Production of the H1-Crown takes place at the state of the art Hjarnämonde Assembly Facility in Hjarnämonde, Korrlänn Province Prizyetsa.

Armament

Main Armament: of the H1-Crown is the Siljeborg Metalworks 120mm L/60 smooth-bore tight barrel tank gun. The weapon is fed by an auto-loader allowing the gun to be fired once every three seconds regardless of the gun's angle. The initial round capacity of the auto-loader is fifteen rounds, which is less than many other tanks. The reason for designing the auto-loader this way was to shorten reload times since there is rarely a need to fire more than fifteen rounds in rapid succession. Once the auto-loader's clip is empty, the loader can easily reload it manually. The tank stores up to fifty rounds of ammunition in the following configuration, a round in the chamber, fifteen in the auto-loader and twenty-four rounds in the storage tray aft of the turret. Any combination can be loaded into the ammo tray and auto-loader thanks to the custom-designed advanced fire-control system which can be programmed by the crew to select any type of ammunition available.

Secondary Weapons: of the H1-Crown are a pair of fixed coaxial belt-fed 7,62 mm machine guns which sit to the right of the tank's main gun and are operated by the gunner, or alternatively by the tank commander. Additionally, the gunner has a remote-controlled weapon point on top of the turret which can be used with another 7,62 mm machine gun or a grenade launcher, etc. Finally, there is a manually controlled machine above the tank commander's hatch.

Mobility and Maneuverability

The H1 can travel at speeds of up to 75km/h on paved surfaces and can travel at speeds of up to 55km/h in off-road conditions. It is capable of climbing 40-degree slopes, and scaling obstacles of up to 1.8 meters high. Thanks to tge relatively compact design of the tank's power pack, a small gas-turbine engine was also fitted into each unit to provide auxiliary power to operate the tank if needed. Additionally, it also powers the tank's electronics when the engine is switched off.

The vehicle can cross rivers as deep as 5 meters using a snorkel system, which also serves as a conning tower for the tank commander. The system takes approximately 30 minutes to prepare. The turret becomes watertight while fording, but the chassis can take in around 1500 liters of water to prevent excessive buoyancy from air inside the vehicle and keep the tracks planted firmly on the ground. Furthermore, the tank can enter combat-ready status as soon as it resurfaces.

The Crown fields an advanced suspension system, called the In-arm Suspension Unit (ISU), which allows for individual control of every bogie on the tracks.

Network Capabilities

  • BattleNet-E: The export version of the battlenet system developed for the Prizyetsi Armed Forces has been implemented into the H1-Crown main battle tank to provide Command, Control and Communications capabilities to the Kuhlfrosian military. This allows vehicles with the system to communicate and relay information about the location and state of military hardware, and allow officers to issue orders to individual units in real-time.
  • GPS
  • IFF/SIF: (Identification Friend or Foe/Selective Identification Feature)

Operators

  • Kuhlfros
  • Prizyetsa (Has 10 chasis for testing purposes)
