Henrik VII (Henrik Folke Carl Johan; 24 July 1932 - 6 December 2012) was King of Friskland from 1978 until his death in 2012. He was succeeded by his son, Carl Vilhelm.

Early life

Henrik was born on July 24, 1932 to the then-Crown Prince of Friskland, Carl Vilhelm, and his French-born wife, Eliane.

Marriage and family

Henrik met his future wife, Lucia di Ordetto, for the first time at a charity gala event in Rome, in 1958. They began dating shortly after, and were engaged in February 1959. They married on November 25, 1959 at the Royal Chapel in Jättenholm.
