The Ironcastle Armed Forces are the federal armed forces of Ironcastle. They consist of the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, Coast Guard and Civil Defence. The President of Ironcastle is the Commander-in-Chief, and helps form military policy with the Ironcastle Department of Defence, a federal executive department, acting as the principal organ in which military policy is carried out.

The armed forces were initially formed in 1620 by the Constitution, under the name of the Grand Army of the Republic. Since then it has been involved in a multitude of wars, including the Border Wars, the Great Crusade, the First Great War, the Second Great War, the Damanian War and the Seven-Day War. The United Military Act 1946 provided the framework for the modern Ironian military, clearly defining the role of each branch of the military.

The Ironian military is the fourth largest in Moneylania, following Xianuan, Sibaria, and Platacia. Manpower is drawn from volunteers, although conscription may be used in defending Ironcastle itself. As of 2028, the military had an operating budget of $448 billion. The Ironcastle Armed Forces maintain a significant logistics capability, provided by a multitude of air, land and sea assets. In addition, Ironcastle operates a nuclear triad, operating bombers, nuclear submarines, and intercontinental ballistic missiles.
