Katerina I (Laiatanese: Катерина Каменева Александровна, September 16, 1539 - May 8, 1607) ruled the Kingdom of Laiatan from April 19, 1562 to July 8, 1577 and later the Laiatanese Empire from July 8, 1577 until her death on May 8, 1607. Through the use of power and influence, Katerina expanded the Kingdom of Laiatan before establishing the Empire. Katerina's policies and reforms made a lasting impact on the country, with many institutions of Laiatanese government tracing their origins to her reign.

Title

The Imperial title created by Katerine I was the following:

Katerina Alexandrovna Kameneva, Imperatritsa of the Whole Laiatanese Empire and of the Lupine People with the Blessings of Zhana and Vuksan.

This title would be adopted by each consecutive emperor or empress, changing the title to "Imperator" in the case of male title holders. A short form was also adopted, and was the following:

Imperatritsa Katerina Alexandrovna Kameneva, Empress and Autocrat of the Lupines.

After reigning for just over 45 years, Katerina died on May 8, 1607 at the age of 67 after suffering a stroke two days prior. She was interred in the Kamenev Tombs within the Temple of the Forest after spending a week and a half lying in state.
