Kostuvastan was a nation that stretched throughout the middle of Aurora, and was separated after its civil war. It bordered the countries Xiopothos, Cathalrus, and Ethalria. The nation was replaced by the nations Tuvaltastan, Kostromastan, and Baykalia, and is the successor to the Kostuvian Empire.

The Near-Genocide of the Baykalians

Before the Civil War, the Baykalians were the dominant group that had governmental positions, which gave the ethnicity a bad reputation. The Civil War broke out primarily because of the domination of the Baykalians in the Kostuv Government, as is discussed in the Culture Clashes section. Even during the war, the Baykalians had a superior warfare strategy, and were close to winning the Civil War. However, both the Kostrom and Tuvalti Forces had learned about the entire warfare strategies of the Baykalians. Using this information, both the Kostroms and the Tuvaltis managed to kill approximately 95% of the Baykalian ethnicity by the year 2000.
