Count Lothar von und zu Beierwald (1701-1764) was a Braslander nobleman.

In 1729 he married Princess Margarethe von Hohenburg. The bride was only fifteen and the marriage had been arranged very quickly, as King Frederick I was dying and the Prince von Hohenburg wanted to cement his ties with the old and very rich Beierwalds before Crown Prince Frederick -who disliked the Prince's influence in the government- took over the throne, as he knew that he opposed the match and would forbid it as King.

Lothar and his wife were a very prolific couple, they had sixteen children: Maria Elisabeth (born and died 1730), Maria Johanna (born 1731), Felix (1732-1755), Rudolf (1733-1734), Alois (born 1735), Adam (born 1737; unmarried), Gabriele (born 1738), Henriette (born and died 1739), Friedrich (born 1741), Magdalene (1742-1764; nun), Georg (1744-1745), Maximilian (born 1746), Lazarus (1748-1753), Pauline (born 1750), Maria Anna (born 1751) and Karoline (born 1755).

After Lazarus Balkronn's fall in 1732, Lothar's position at Court was weakened. However, he was appointed Ambassador to the Westbund in 1733, serving there for ten years. He returned in 1743 and became a close advisor to the King.

He died in 1764.
