The Kingdom of Luthatania is a sovereign nation located in the Capitalist Paradise region. Luthatania gained it's independence from the Empire of Luthiland on March 1, 2004. As a member of the Alliance of Luthian States, Luthatania recognizes the Emperor of Luthiland as monarch (King of Luthatania.) Since independence, Luthatania has developed at a phenomenal rate. The nation's economy is booming, and citizens enjoy a lifestyle comparable to many other developed nations. Internationally, Luthatania's influence is growing quickly.

History

The Kingdom of Luthatania formally came into being on November 11, 1619 with the defeat of Edvard Duke of Tannenberg and the annexation of that duchy into the Principality of Transluthatania. The next day the Crown Prince of Transluthatania was created as His Majesty, Ludwig I, King of Luthatania. During his reign, five other provinces were added to the Kingdom of Luthatania. King Ludwig I vastly expanded Luthatanian territory, power, prestige and wealth. By the time of his death in 1667, Luthatania had risen from a small, obscure principality to a major international power. Over the next several decades the Kingdom annexed several neighboring provinces, nearly doubling in size by the time of the First War of the Luthians, which ended in Luthatania becoming a vassal state of the Empire of Luthiland. This status continued until Luthatania was granted autonomy on December 4, 1951 with the signing of the Proclamation of Tannenberg. The newly created, or rather recreated, Kingdom of Luthatania was ruled by the King-Emperor of Luthiland as a duel monarchy until the Luthian Civil War. When Luthiland was declared a communist republic, the royal family fled to Luthatania and declared their Luthian titled extinct. The Kingdom of Luthatania has been ruled by His Royal Majesty, King Paul I since the Luthian Revolution.
