Medilism is a henotheistic religion which revolves around the teachings and divine guidance of Guqyuha the enlightened one, after his travels to discover the meaning of existance. Adherents worship the deity Medila -the formless Goddess, the flocktender- and her wisdom, as well as revere sapience. The religion is almost exclusively practised by members of the Grey Psittacine species, and is the de facto state religion of The Perritree, their homeland.

Guqyuhas Scrolls

After Guqyuha the enlightened ones death in []AD, his closest students revealed several scrolls on which the prophet himself had written on his divine exodus, as well as hundreds of chapters of scripture that him and others had written during meditation. These became known as Guqyuha's scrolls, and their content and further interpretation detailed the basis of Medilism and its philosophies.

Scripture

Below are several important excerpts from Guqyuhas scrolls.

Genesis:3 - of the Flocktender

1. Many lowly gods strolled the cosmos, thoughtless and empty, ignorant of the fertile earth and its offspring

2. The ascended one and his servants toiled upon the earth's offspring, carving them selfishly in his own image

3. Watching them was the formless one, whom only knew want and yearning, watching the ages rush by aside her thoughtless bretherin

4. In an act of bravado and desperation, the formless one reached out to the fertile earth

5. The formless one grasped, and found purchase in our ancestors, who felt her struggle and let her into their hearts and minds

6. With no form to project upon our ancestors and without thought to feel greed, she selflessly imbued a gift upon them

7. Eons passed like seconds, and over time the formless one benevolently melded our ancestors, and their eyes had stirred

8. Our ancestors and the formless one blossomed together, and the third eye opened in the minds of all

9. With our ancestors learned, so had the formless one become learned, gifting her with true name

10. MEDILA, the formless one, the flocktender, wizened salvation of our thoughtless ancestors now learned

11. And with her name she gained command, saying upon her newest children

12. 'Go forth, be free and loving, for our gift is sacred, take flight and I shall protect thee' and our ancestors listened keenly
