Armed Forces of Mexregiona

The armed forces of the United States (Parishes) of Mexregiona are significantly confusing, as their histories have interwined with each other time and time again. For most of the USM's history, the entire standing army of the entity was considered one. Therefore, it can be seen that the current state of the nation's defense is at the paramount point in its history. They all work in harmony to attempt to exceed the forces of other nations during wartime.

BRANCHES OF THE MEXREGIONAN MILITARY

AIR CORPS

The Air Corps of the United States of Mexregiona is responsible for nearly all mid-flight warfare. Not only is the organization utilized for the infiltration of enemy defenses, it is also highly accustomed to rescue missions and special task force operations. In other words, they are the go-to branch for both aerial maneuvers and disaster relief. It is greatly tuned in to the internal works of the nation, especially at airports in large cities. The largest airport in the USM, Dropdatderp International, is home to a stable and permanent population of of at least twenty-five Air Corps personnel, all of which are stationed to heighten the security of the terminals and entryways.

The Air Corps has administration over 3,500 warplanes, as of the last vehicle census, taken in 2016.

ARMY

The Mexregionan Army is a rather ignored branch of the military, as the majority of this arm's doings are only to be tested during wartime. They provide the mass force of all of Mexregiona's continental invasions, which, currently, are superbly out of fashion. Perhaps their highest duty in their rather short history was their partaking in the landing of the Atlantian continent in 2013, A.D. They were the main branch to push into current-day Continental Mexregiona, then called the Greater Shore. Other than invasions, however, the primary purpose of the army is to keep the youth of the nation physically active and strong: the host a variety of health and fitness events, some under the endorsement of the president himself, Mister Leader II.

The Army has less than 5,000 active troops, although this number has changed significantly since the USM's declaration of War with the Axis, which took place on July 6th, 2017. There are, according to the 2016 personnel census, 307,293 reserved men and women. Also, there are an estimate 2.5 million people who are willing and able to serve in dire conditions.

HOME GUARD

The Home Guard is the primary reserve of the Mexregionan population. If one wishes to become a loyal and patriotic citizen of the USM, they simply join the organization. Other than a recent physical exam sheet, virtually nothing is required to join. The Guard is the internal Army of Mexregiona, as its members are required to fight for their nation in its time of need. Therefore, the group of people is tuned very little with the actions of the rest of the military, as Mexregiona hasn't suffered a domestic invasion since the age of antiquity.

The Home Guard is consisted of 4,896,081 people, as of last personnel census, taken in 2016. Many of this number will likely be pulled out to join the Army to fight the Axis, however. NOTE: Many, if not, most of these enlisted member of the Home Guard have little military experience. These people are required to aid the war effort in some way, however.

NAVY

The Navy is, by far, the largest branch of the Mexregionan military. It is home to what is currently considered the most expensive military equipment in the nation, such as a number of warships and massive antiaircraft turrets that are then attached to them. These make up the brunt of the nation's total military expenditure. The reason for such a sophisticated navy is both the general separation of geographical areas of the USM by maritime expanses and the deep, enriched history of the branch.

Beginning quite long before the confederation of Mexregiona, peoples of the area built boats and aqueducts to supply them with food and supplies. Ancient canals can, in fact, still be seen on the current-day Parish of Louisianaia and the Marpan Archipelago. They achieved gargantuan military feats using their simple but ample supply of warboats. They conquered islands all along the western coast of the Atlantian continent, such as Marpa and the Lesser Mexregional Archipelago. So, in modern times, because of these conquests, it was found highly important that Mexregiona carry on the tradition.

Today, the Navy not only carries out wartime duties, but also specifically aids in the transportation of goods. In Project Longstorm, a large international cooperation task, the Navy of the USM assisted the presidency by moving a giant contraption over to the continent of Arcturia to dredge a canal there. Along with this, they carried out the nation's plan to strengthen ties between the USM and Asendavia by founding Best's Pilgrimage within the Asendavian wilderness.

The Navy, being the strongest of the branches, has a recorded 352 warships, as of the last vehicle census, taken in 2016. -Seven aircraft carriers. -Eight Battleships -Four Frigates -Roughly 100 Alternate Support Warships (Called Mini-Warships in the USM) -95 Alternate Transportation Support Ships The Mexregionan Navy owns nor builds submarines; they are considered too risky for naval assaults and encounters.

The total government expenditure for the Armed Forces of Mexregiona is reported to have a budget of 127 billion KMu's .
