Molovia, officially the Socialist Soviet Republic of Molovia, is a sovereign state situated at the crossroads of Northwest Yasteria, the central Tepans. Relative to its small territory, it is a diverse country distinguished by a transitional character, situated along cultural, geographic, climatic and other boundaries. Molovia is landlocked and borders South Hills to the south; Vukia and Trnavia to the east. Molovia numbers around 10 million residents, and its capital, Sebrezic, ranks among the largest cities in Northwest Yasteria.

Geography

Located at the crossroads of Northwest Yasteria, Molovia is found in the Tepans. The Pannonian Plain covers the northern third of the country while the easternmost tip of Molovia extends into the Wallachian Plain. The terrain of central part of the country, with the region of Manjević at its heart, consists chiefly of hills traversed by the rivers. Mountains dominate the southern third of Molovia. Trinaric Alps stretch in the west and the southwest following the flow of the rivers Drna and Iba. Carpathian Mountains and Tepan Mountains stretch in north–south direction in the eastern Molovia. Ancient mountains in the southeast corner of the country belong to Rlo-Rodop Mountain system. Elevation ranges from the Midža peak of the Tepans Mountains at 2,169 metres (7,116 feet) (highest peak in Molovia) to the lowest point of just 17 metres (56 feet) near the Dane river at Provo.

The climate of Molovia is under the influences of the landmass of Yasteria and the Atlantic Ocean. With mean January temperatures around 0 °C (32 °F), and mean July temperatures of 22 °C (72 °F), it can be classified into warm-humid continental or humid subtropical climate. In the north, the climate is more continental, with cold winters, and hot, humid summers along with well distributed rainfall patterns. In the south, summers and autumns are drier, and winters are relatively cold, with heavy inland snowfall in the mountains.

Molovian National Army

The Molovian National Army are subordinate to the Premier, and are composed of the Army and Army Aviation. The Molovian Military Soviet reports to the Premier. As of 2012, Molovian defence budget amounts to $1.7 billion or an estimated 4.3% of the country's GDP.

Government

The government of the Socialist Soviet Republic of Molovia is the main body of the executive branch of government in Molovia. It is led by the head of the government, in Western nations referred to as the Premier.

The members of the Soviet Government—people's commissars, ministers, and heads of state committees—are recommended by the Premier and appointed by the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet. The Government of Molovia exercises its executive powers in conformity with the Soviet Constitution and legislation enacted by the Supreme Soviet of Molovia.

Economy

The economy of Molovia is based on a socialist form of state capitalism. State capitalism is usually described as an economic system in which commercial (i.e., for-profit) economic activity is undertaken by the state, where the means of production are organized and managed as state-owned business enterprises (including the processes of capital accumulation, wage labor, and centralized management), or where there is otherwise a dominance of corporatized government agencies (agencies organized along business management practices) or publicly listed corporations of which the state has controlling shares. Beginning in 1994, the entire course of the economy is guided by a series of Five-Year Plans.
