Nawira (/nə.'wi.rə/; Nau: Nau Veira /naʊ.'ʋeɪ.ɻa/), officially the Pure Land of Nawira is a sovereign state located in Annuun, a parallel dimension to Earth. With a population of over 831 million, it is more populous than all but the LinkEarth's two most populous countries, China and India. Nawira is a theocratic monarchy governed by the Emperor, with its seat of power in the subterranean fortress of Agartha. It exercises jurisdiction over twenty-two provinces and four direct-controlled municipalities (Agartha, Shambala, Atlanta, Paititi), which are treated like provinces.

Nawira covers the entirety of the habitable parts of Annuun. The environment of Annuun is very different from that of modern day Earth: there are many diverse forms of flora not found on Earth, many of which are similar to extinct flora of the palaeozoic and mesozoic eras. The environment is much warmer as well, so many alien species cannot thrive in Annuun. Despite the warmer, much of the land is not dry. It remains lush and fertile in most locations, although, in some cases, deserts have managed to form. The native fauna of Annuun have not yet been studied, however, the natives claim them to be daemons. These claims have never been verified, and are believed to be false. Annuun seems to almost entirely consist of asteroids orbiting a small sun, ranging from the size of pebbles to the size of small nations, with various different nebulae floating throughout and surrounding the system. Each of these asteroids seem to have their own gravity, and the larger ones contain the Nau settlements.

The origins of Nawira are uncertain, but the existence of portals between Nawira and Earth, along with the human nature of the Nau people implies that they originated on Earth. A currently popular theory is that the Nau are the descendants of the Indus River Valley civilization, given the ancient destroyed portal to the oldest Nau city, Atlanta, supported by the fact that both seem to date to the approximate end of the Indus River Valley civilization. For millennia, Nawira's political system was based on hereditary monarchies, known as dynasties, beginning with the semi-mythological Zja of the Chira River basin (c. 2000 BC). Since 429 BC, when the Duoi Dynasty first conquered several states to form a Nau empire, the country has expanded, fractured and been reformed numerous times. However, the current dynasty has been in power for over three centuries.

The means of production are owned by the state through state-run enterprises and collectivized farms, and most services such as healthcare, education, housing and food production are state funded or subsidized. However, unlike most countries with such a system in place, much of Nawira's public sector is run similarly to private enterprises; these enterprises are owned and run by the government and their profits go to the government in the form of taxes. In a system similar to feudalism, certain individuals are granted managerial positions at the
