The Imperial Confederation of Aelros is a massive, socially progressive nation, ruled by Archduke Cheburashka with an even hand, and notable for its keen interest in outer space, anti-smoking policies, and complete absence of social welfare. The hard-nosed, hard-working, cynical, devout population of 1.764 billion Aelrosii are either ruled by a sleek, efficient government or a conglomerate of multinational corporations; it's difficult to tell which.

Aelros is technologically quite advanced and is a bulwark for economic freedom, innovation and capitalism.
