The Founder of Armud is a colossal, socially progressive nation, ruled by Lord Valfor and Lord Charles with an even hand, and renowned for its complete absence of social welfare. The hard-nosed, hard-working, intelligent population of 5.171 billion Armudians enjoy some of the most opulent lifestyles in the region, unless they are unemployed or working-class, in which case they are variously starving to death or crippled by easily preventable diseases.

There is no government in the normal sense of the word; however, a small group of community-minded, pro-business individuals juggles the competing demands of Religion & Spirituality, Commerce, and Education. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Warwick. Income tax is unheard of. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Tourism, Book Publishing, and Retail industries.

The nation's drinking water tends to glow green at night, employers may fire workers without giving any reason, one-stop superstores divide and conquer family businesses, and most people suffer from some form of hearing loss. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is crippling, and the police force struggles against a lack of funding and a high mortality rate. Armud's national animal is the Giraffe, which is also the nation's favorite main course, and its currency is the Ares.
