History

Blozendland (Blozend meaning rosy in Dutch) was founded by Dutch nobleman Willem van Wilmijkbroeken and a group of political advisers after they left the Netherlands for new horizons in 1813. On 25 December 1815, Willem was created King of Blozendland along with his family becoming the Royal Family. On the same day, Blozendland was established as a nation with a population of 120,690. Most of the citizens were centred in the main city of Koningstad.

In 1873, Blozendland acquired the Grace Islands (Eilanden Genade), a set of three islands off the coast of the main country. Each island has its own devolved government. Collectively, the islands share a population of 28,532.

After the World Wars, both of which did not see any Blozendlandic involvement, Blozendland has seen a very steady and healthy growth in its public sector as the national gross domestic product has increased threefold over the past fifty years as the country consolidated foreign investment and saw an increase in total exports and therefore larger annual revenues.
