The Socialist People's Republic of Fortisian Isles (Fortisian:Scîû Nîûmesû Nîuncî'r Sîsîâl Ôrcî'r Dýcsôrôe'r, Latin: respublica socialis populorum Fortisicarum insularum), colloquially known as Fortisia (Fortisian: Dýcsôrôe, Latin: Fortisia-ae), is a nation in the south of Europe. It was founded in 1924 by Mîlôs Sỷzî's People's Forces of Fortisia, and has since become a developed nation known for its high levels of civil liberty, patriotic citizens, history, and its highly socialist government. Modern-day Fortisia was formed on May 17th, 1924 - the same day that the Fortisian Civil War began - as a result of a rebellion against the dictatorial Blackfort regime (known officially as the People's Nation of Fortisia) that had existed in the country since the overthrow of the Holy Territory of Fortisia in 1487. Its founding came on a basis of a will for democracy and civil freedom in the country, values that have been upheld in the country to the present day. Fortisia is a founding member of the Union of European Nations, and is a member of the United Nations. In 1978, it also created the Ûmis Dȳqsôrîmf Mesî, a union of 10 Fortisian-speaking regions, with the aim of collective prosperity and allowing greater freedom of movement for Fortisian nationals and Fortisians of other nations.

Etymology

Fortisia was named originally by the group of rebels that established it (the fortes homines), but was originally referred to in its informal form as imperium populorum rebellium, or 'the empire of the rebellious people', and was also colloquially known as imperium Domi (empire of Domi), referencing their origins. First reference to the name 'Fortisia' arose in AD91, when then-Imperator Marcus I wrote a letter proclaiming the 'imperium fortis' (strong empire), which would not change until 204AD, when the first adaptations of Fortolatin gave rise to the term fortisica, replacing fortis in its meaning of 'strong'. It was not until Fortolatin had replaced Latin around 700AD that the first use of Fortisia (-ae) was seen, meaning 'land of the strong' or 'country of the strong'. The term eventually integrated into Second Modernised Latin, the form used today, and is still used to refer to Fortisia. The Fortisian term for Fortisia, Dýcsôrôe has its origins, like most Fortisian words, in the Blackfort War on Language, and in particular derives from the Fortolatin terms duq (ducis), meaning 'leader', sor-sora-sorum, meaning 'sole, only' and ros (rotem), meaning 'thing'. Due to this, most modern Fortisian terms and words are greatly different from Reformed Fortolatin, last used widely in Fortisia before the rise to power of the Blackfort in 1792.

First Fortisian Revolt, 41AD

Following the assassination of Emperor Caligula, great civil unrest began to show itself in the Roman Empire. A secret organisation based in Rome, led by Marcus Romae (later Marcus I) and named the fortes homines (literally 'strong men'), began to meet and undergo military training frequently in a settlement south of Rome, which was established in 40AD, and laid the foundations for the city of Domîn, which still exists today. Over the following months, more and more Romans decided to join the fortes homines
