Etymology

The nation "Dido Place" derives its name from the street of "Dido Place" where the Presidential Palace is located and where the first house and capital were located. The origin of the name of the street is guessed to either be named after George Dido, the founder of Dido Place, or Queen Dido from ancient Greek mythology. The first choice is more commonly accepted though. There has been much dispute about the simplicity of the name though and many moves to change it to something else but they have all been unsuccessful.
