Etymology
Dunder Mifflin Incorporated gets its name from its two founders, Robert Dunder and Robert Mifflin who both started the company in the 1940s before it propelled itself to become a corporate imperial monopoly. The company was first named "Dunder & Mifflin Paper Company" but it was later changed to "Dunder-Mifflin Paper Company." When it become an incorporated and sovereign political body, it was renamed "Dunder Mifflin Incorporated."
