East Malaysia, officially known as The United Empire of East Malaysia and formally as The Sovereign Empire & Associated States of East Malaysia is semi-democratic monarchy located in Southeast Yasteria of Urth that has 20 states, a district, a territory and a special administrative region. A Peregrin majority resides in the north of the country and a human minority that are ethnically Codexian in the north/southwest and Wachovian in the north/southeast.

History

Origin

Ancient Bedtime Story of The Harbingers

The origin of the Peregrin people is shrouded in mystery, dark stories for children and religious books. It is believed that long ago in a distant part of the galaxy on a planet that was one half darkness and one half light a non-humanoid race known as the Ers evolved in the dark half of this planet. Over millions of years they diverged into three different species. Harbingers in darkness, Duskers in twilight and Travelers in light. The Ers evolved with a central telepathic link that was influenced by a queen that was never seen but her influence was always felt. This queen is believed to be Azahata whom is seen as a religious figure in present day Peregrin with the Book of Aza that was written by a different queen of the same name that is thought to have been the first Oracle of Azahata.

First Star Empire

Sometime after the Travelers race developed faster-than-light technology they left the Origin planet due to the violent nature of their sister races. Peregrin children are still read bedtime stories of the Harbingers to instill a fear of darkness, twilight and to never travel alone in the jungles.

After they left the Origin planet they discovered no other races had developed their level of technology and after they colonized a new planet that was named Firstprime and that's also when they started to call themselves the First over Travelers.

The First Star Empire became a dominant force in their part of the galaxy. They were explorers by heart but their primal desires for violence lead to them conquering hundreds of worlds.

The First people were divided into five different groups based on their blood acidity type. North, South, East, West and Central. North and South had the non-pure blood type. East and West had the prestigious blood type. Central had the origin blood type and were the royalty and leaders of the First.

Over time this caste system turned into a more political power system. North/West and South/East, while different levels, allied themselves together to be a counterweight to the North/West. The North/West faction were the builders and warriors of the empire while the South/East were the farmers and scientists.

After several millennia each faction had their own fleet of ships, own capitals, and even planets they controlled but all under the First King's control but as the First King wanted them to stay only in their part of the galaxy for fear of running into their ancestor people after ancient documents were discovered but that was against the wishes of the North/West faction who wanted expansion and did not fear their ancestors.

Princess Azahata was on a diplomatic mission when the transmission had come in that a energy weapon developed by the North/West faction had been fired on First City, hit the Royal Palace area, that the entire area was burning a fire that they could not put out nor locate the First King. At the same time North/West and South/East ships were involved in battles, the factions on Firstprime were all fighting and Princess Azahata was on the wrong side of the the border with her location being on the North/West faction's controlled space.

Urth Timeline

1500s

The Peregrin colonization of Urth starts in the middle to late 1500s. The exact date has conflicting eyewitness accounts. The area that was selected was in a recently broken up but still closely associated Codex Empire states before they reorganized into the Free Pacific States. The area of colonization was known as the Kingdom of East Malaysia but by 1556 the East Malaysia Monarchy collapse that cause a brief escalation due to a language barrier between Peregrin and Humans that lasted five years and its known as the Five Years War that took place from 1570-1575. At this time the Peregrin still had advanced technology and when a basic understanding was finally established a demilitarized zone between them in the north.

In 1579 A faction of Peregrin have disagreement with their use of advanced technology. Their colonization ship is shot down but is able to land in present day Tivot. This group is known as Southern Peregrins and live a city of Per that was built around their crash site.

Officially the Colonization of East Malaysia ended in 1590 but eyewitness accounts and records indicate that ships were still landing into the middle 1600s.

By 1595 the Kingdom of East Malaysia is reestablished under Peregrin rule.

1600s

1601 the first Peregrin-Human Hybrid is born in the Per settlement.

1889 Royal Family of Caven Split; Kabuverdianu Family leave for Iseul and the Caven-Templeton granted special status by Bishop Imperial Family for loyalty.

1900s

1903 Kingdom of Caven's government peacefully fall to East Malaysian "humanitarian" troops.

1965 Southcaven becomes territory

1975 Northeast Justelvard Territory holds a referendum to decide their future status after the South Staynes Secession Act of 1975. The majority of the people vote to leave Great Morstaybishlia and to rename their territory as Wachovia. The vote was not formally recognized but 6 months later East Malaysian "humanitarian" troops entered the territory and Wachovia formally becomes a East Malaysian territory.

1976 Elected Prime Emperor Justin Ashton becomes Emperor after assassination of Emperor Ty Bishop, who was unmarried and without an heir. Glendale Jung, Director of Foreign Affairs & Diplomacy, is married to Justin Ashton and becomes the Imperial Consort.

1977 Human-Peregrin Civil Conflict happens with protest across the Human and Peregrin territories demanding better representation and to end restrictions placed on territories that treated their population as second class citizens.

1978 Emperor Ashton signs the Articles of Incorporation in Libertyburg that establishes the Associated States of East Malaysia that organized Caven Island, Juoi Island, Southcaven, South Tilden and Wachovia into a semi-autonomous democratic group. Under the agreement centralized power would remain in Eastrovia with foreign affairs, defense and trade but most domestic affairs are handled out of Associated States Administrative Offices in Libertyburg headed by an elected Association President.

1979 Bishop-Phelps Imperial Family plot against Justin Ashton and he is injured in a car accident on the way to a political event that ends up leaving him brain dead. Glendale Jung was in the late stages of her pregnancy at the time and wasn’t feeling well and was not in the car.

1980 Empress Glendale Jung has her coronation. Associated States leaderships calls for the separation of Human and Peregrin territories with the destabilization of power between Empress Jung and Bishop-Phelps Imperial Family

Empress Jung establishes the “Two States, One East Malaysia” doctrine. With the help of the King of Caven she launches a 2 year tour across East Malaysia to help unify her people.

1983 Investigative Report of the death of Emperor Ashton revealed that it was an assassination and that the Bishop-Phelps Imperial Family was implicated. Grand Empress Dowager Amanda Bishop publicly calls for the family leadership to step down.

Empress Jung revises the Articles of Succession that now excluded all members of the Bishop-Phelps Imperial Family from being an heir. Effectively ending more than 400 years of power.

1990 Empress Jung calls the Southern Peregrin clan leader, reopening diplomacy after 411 years with hopes to eventually reunite their people by having a meeting in Per. The offer is respectfully declined.

2000s

2010s

2017 East Gemica Islands signs the Articles of Incorporation, becomes part of the Associated States.

2019 After the historic election of Prime Emperor Alexander Caven-Templeton he enacted laws that ended the "Two State, One East Malaysia" policy and dissolved the Associated States of East Malaysia and with Empress Jung's blessing renamed the Sovereign Empire of East Malaysia to the United Empire of East Malaysia.

East Gemica Islands becomes a standard imperial territory with the dissolution of the Associated States but continue to participate in national elections and have citizenship.

East Malaysia is a culturally diverse nation comprising of 64% Peregrin, 33% Humans and a 4% Hybrid population.

Flag Meaning

Ubi concordia, ibi victoria (where there is unity, there is victory)

That leads me to the two-toned crescents that make up a circle. This represents the unity of Peregrin and Humans. A united people of diversity can overcome any obstacle and be victorious.

The crab represents the Peregrin people as warriors that have their armor at the ready for the cynical nature of life but the blue represents water (or natural flow of life) and if they simply go with the flow of the waves they will be divinely cared for.

The stars are reflecting off the water. It's a reflection of what the hearts of the Peregrin people desire the most [They have an unnatural desire to travel among the stars] and the closest they can touch this desire is the reflection they leave on water.

When you add this all up together. The Sovereign Empire and Associated States of East Malaysia (the circle) that is a battle ready people (the crab) that would rather go with the flow and be taken care of by their god is an island nation that surrounded by water (blue) that have a desire for the stars.

Imperial Jung Family lead by Empress Glendale Jung controls 80% of the East Malaysian Empire (Sovereign Empire and Associated States). The remaining 20% is controlled by the Prime Emperor/Empress and Imperial Senate which are democratically elected to represent the people. The Associated States hold their own elections for a Association President every four years but the role has little political power.

The District & City of Eastrovia is located on the east side of Eastrovia Island at the mouth of the Malay River and the Bay of Eastrovia. The city is located in the District of Eastrovia but has a consolidated government under the District-City Council with an elected Mayor.
