The Democracy of Fultzan is a colossal, efficient nation, remarkable for its ubiquitous missile silos, public floggings, and soft-spoken computers. The compassionate, devout population of 6.91 billion Fultzanians have some civil rights, but not too many, enjoy the freedom to spend their money however they like, to a point, and take part in free and open elections, although not too often.

The large government juggles the competing demands of Defense, Industry, and Public Transport. The average income tax rate is 68.9%.

The frighteningly efficient Fultzanian economy, worth 681 trillion delojs a year, is driven entirely by a combination of government and state-owned industry, with private enterprise illegal. The industrial sector is led by the Tourism industry, with major contributions from Information Technology, Arms Manufacturing, and Cheese Exports. Average income is 98,586 delojs, and evenly distributed, with the richest citizens earning only 4.8 times as much as the poorest.

Soldiers are equipped with multi-million delojs battlesuits, the feather-bellied eagle is a protected species, excessive wheelchair ramps on government buildings have been compared to theme park attractions, and genocide is seen as a topic best avoided in history lessons. Crime is totally unknown, thanks to a well-funded police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Fultzan's national animal is the feather-bellied eagle, which soars majestically through the nation's famously clear skies, and its national religion is Christianity.

Fultzan is ranked 111,957th in the world and 60th in The Allied Republic for Largest Publishing Industry, scoring 626.96 on the Bella Potter Productivity e-Index.
