The Golden Reich of Lechanster is a superpower located in Central Europe. The government is led by Kaiser Franz I, head of the Vinter Dynasty. Who resides with his family in the capital city of Desoto. It is bordered by Germany and Poland to the North, France to the West, with Moldova, and Ukraine to the East. The sovereign nation has a population of over one billion citizens and administrates almost 850,000 square kilometers.
The Golden Reich of Lechanster was formed during the First Golden Age of Lechanster. After several conquests throughout Europe and the world, with massive industrial and economic growth. Kaiser Franz I declared the Reich on February 1st, 2016. Instating new international policies and regulation concerning it's commonwealth along with associated dominions.
Lechanster is an economic powerhouse, with a national GDP of 164 trillion GM. The per capita GDP of 100,227 GM ranks highly in the world. It has a strong and firm industry to support its economy. With leading production rates in Arms Manufacturing, Book Publishing, Cheese Exports, Information Technology, Tourism and above all: Trout Fishing . The economy is focused on private sector development (53.8%) compared to public sector (40.2%) or the state-owned sector (6%).

Etymology
Lechanster derives from the two dominant tribes in the country's ancient area. The tribes were the Lechs and Setr.
The Lechs were a pacifist, isolated tribe that focused on loose government and guaranteed high values of freedom to it's members. The tribal government satisfied the needs of all it's citizens, forming a liberal ideal. They preferred to not interact with other tribes and kept to themselves, eliminating any form of economic structure.
The other tribe were the Setr, a large rapidly growing nation that focused on economic and civil growth. They purchased new lands from their neighbors when they had exceeded their growth. They preserved their environment fiercely, often resorting to military means to enforce this policy.
History
Upon the signing of the Treaty of Trianon, de jure lands of Lechanster were recognized and expunged from the Austrio-Hungarian Empire. However, in their place, a sovereign nation had not been established. Instead they were deemed "Free Lands." They had no official government, laws, military, or public services. Millions flocked to settle a new home and found great opportunity. Disputes and conflict were widespread with no policing force, and several ambitious landowners declared themselves sovereign entities. The United Kingdom intervened and occupied the area. The British planned the establishment of a new government for the Lechan peoples.
The British organized a territorial conference and every family chose one member to be a representative. These representatives traveled to the ruins of Tör, here they discussed the foundation of a new government while under the supervision of the British.
It was agreed upon that a council-based government would be suitable for the new government. The council would be named the "Chan Council," (derived from Lechanster). However to lead the council decisively, a Präsident (President) would be elected from one of the council's own. To counter the Präsident's power, a Vizepräsident (Vice President) would also be instated by the council.
However, not all went well. Multiple representatives voiced for a republic, others even to the extreme petitioned for a monarchy. A particular problem occurred when the Chan Council had no representation of its people. To solve this issue, 13 Kantons were drawn to serve as representative districts. Each member on the council would represent a district (with one Kanton representing the capital - exclusive for the Präsident).
Republic of Lechanster
After die Konferenz, members of the Chan Council were elected in each district, and the first Präsident was inaugurated. The "Champagner Breaker," (Champagne Breaker) Präsident Braun, was a decisive founder for Lechanster. The son of a homely farmer, a humble, charismatic, good-hearted, hard-working, and caring individual. Präsident Braun set the example for what every Lechan wanted to be.
Präsident Braun started his presidency making major impacts improving the Lechan Government. He created Lechan Postal Services (LPS), a central parcel delivery network. He designed a unique currency, the Lechan Dollar. He also established a Judiciary to conduct Law & Order for court cases. A highlight of his career was the building of an entirely new modern city. Designated as the capital, it would be named Vastiling. Präsident Braun started with a town square, named the Braun-Platz, in the center of the city. The capital building for the Chan Council, named the Volkspalast, would be built on the North side of the Braun-Platz.
Annexation by the Third Reich
The bright start for Lechanster would not last long. When Nazi Germany annexed Austria, they turned to the pacifist Lechan democracy to reunite the de jure lands of Austria. With no defense forces, Präsident Braun surrendered to prevent bloodshed. A Nazi military parade was held in Vastiling. Hundreds of armored vehicles raced through the streets bearing swastikas. The swastika was raised on the Volkspalast, signalling the end of the pacifist and free ideals the Chan Council had embodied.
The Chan Council including Präsident Braun were ejected from their positions. The Lechan lands were annexed by the Third Reich. Although the Lechans were not ethnic germans, the mass majority spoke it. Which became a major interest for Hitler in creating Lebensraum. The pacifist, german-speaking, gun-hating residents did little to resist this new government. Any protesters were killed, sent to camps, or dispersed through other means.
Bliss Sovereign Democracy of Lechanster
The allies eventually liberated Lechanster from Nazi Germany. On May 7th, 1945, the de jure lands of Lechanster were released from Nazi control. However, the government was altered to the "Bliss Sovereign Democracy of Lechanster," and instated as a western ally (a move made by the United States and the United Kingdom to guard against the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics). Präsident Braun and the Chan Council retook office and focused on rebuilding Lechanster. However, a month after retaking office, Präsident Braun died of disease, although many speculate assassination was involved.
In this window of time, the United States hosted a campaign for Lechan informants under their control.. Millions were invested into their campaigns, and they were steadily elected into the Chan Council. Following orders from the US, they appointed Dietrich Kober as Präsident. Präsident Kober did little for the Lechan people. His presidency is defined as "The Sin of Foreign Interests." Several US military bases were built and Lechanster, and Präsident Kober and the Chan Council obediently followed the orders of their American superiors. Lechanster had become a puppet nation.
Lechanster remained a "puppet nation," until the disbanding of the USSR in 1991. The US withdrew from Lechanster entirely (although it still maintained its military bases). The Lechans elected an entirely new Chan Council, who appointed Präsident Heinrich. Präsident Heinrich was nicknamed "The Second True Präsident." He focused all of his resources into rebuilding Lechanster since 1945, and modernizing it. He diverted spending from defense (established at a 62% budget during the US occupation) into welfare, law & order, education, infrastructure, the environment, and the industry. This created a safe, clean, stable nation with a massive rate of productivity. Präsident Heinrich's time in office lasted until November of 2002 (when he died of natural causes).
In his place, Präsident Wolf was appointed. Präsident Wolf was nicknamed "The most ambitious pacifist." Präsident Wolf focused on maintaining Präsident Heinrich's platform while expanding the massively growing nation. He established a colony on the Palacifian islands in the Pacific Ocean. Growing into a beautiful, rich archipelago with high standards of living. He also expanded the borders of Lechanster in Europe, purchasing lands from Switzerland, and the balkans. Präsident Wolf also heavily improved the economy, civil rights, and political freedoms in his time in office, benefiting the people greatly.
Iron Kingdom of Lechanster
In 2011, 8 years after Präsident Wolf took office, disgusted voters created their own party: The National Lechan Socialist Party. With extended political freedoms (ironically because of Präsident Wolf), the party quickly grew. They established a trout fishing business to generate income, which they used to purchase equipment, supplies, shelter (in strategic points along major cities), and arms from dealers in Germany. After two years of constant growth, they declared a revolution against the Chan Council. NLSP banners were hoisted across cities spanning Lechanster. Protesters lined against police forces waving NLSP flags. Eventually they resorted to killing, and used violence to achieve their goals.
The NLSP party captured Vastiling, exiled the Chan Council and presumably murdered Präsident Wolf and Vizepräsident Haut. They declared an end to the Bliss Sovereign Democracy and established an Eisen Kaiserreich (Iron Kingdom). They instituted their leader, Viktor von Bayern as the new Kaiser of the monarchy. Viktor renamed himself Kaiser Franz I, and established the Vinter Dynasty. Vastiling was burned to the ground following the establishment of the Eisen Kasierreich. Desoto, the largest city, and largest supporter of the NLSP became the new capital of Lechanster. A palace was built in the hills around Desoto for Kaiser Vinter I and his family.
Golden Kingdom of Lechanster
Several years after Kaiser Vinter's ascension to the throne, Lechanster grew economically, industrial and agricultural output skyrocketed, as the population soared. Kaiser Vinter officially declared a Golden Age for Lechanster. Enforcing a "Gold Standard," over the once Iron-gilded nation. The national flag and coat of arms were officially reintroduced featuring gold and black. The official motto was changed to "Victory is forged in Gold." The government designation also was changed to The Golden Kingdom of Lechanster, featuring changes in Kaiser Vinter's regalia (decorated in ornate gold rather than pure iron) and palace decorations. The currency was also interchanged. Gold Marks were introduced, and had a set worth of 10 Iron Marks per Gold Mark.
Golden Reich of Lechanster
Following the roar of success during the Golden Age, and the substantial development of military forces. Kaiser Vinter conquered new lands in the name of Lechanster. Carving out new lands for the Lechan Lebensraum in Europe, and establishing a global empire. Using the casis belli of human rights abuse, Lechanster invaded Brasilistan and officially incorporated it into the Lechan Commonwealth. To celebrate the military power and prestige of Lechanster, Kaiser Vinter officially declared a Reich. Lechanster was officially renamed into The Golden Reich of Lechanster.
