The Holy Empire of Oak day is a massive, safe nation, ruled by Mr Dr Professor Oak with an even hand, and remarkable for its devotion to social welfare. The hard-nosed, hard-working population of 2.826 billion Oak dayians are free to succeed or fail in life on their own merits; the successful tend to enjoy an opulent (but moralistic) lifestyle, while the failures can be seen crowding out most jails.
It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, corrupt, moralistic government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Defence, Law & Order, and Commerce. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Salvation. The average income tax rate is 95%. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Arms Manufacturing industry, followed by Gambling and Tourism.
Parents must choose their children's names from a government-mandated master list, TV shows must meet strict ethnicity quotas, underage drinkers are dragged through the streets and put in the stocks, and urban high-volume mailers now receive their mail via chauffeur-driven limousines. Crime is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force. Oak day's national animal is the Human, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, its national religion is Athesiam, and its currency is the Evil.
Oak Day was created by the first in royal Oak Family. The Oak's have ruled for nearly three hundred years. But not all those years have been peaceful, as with any monarchy, there are some 'bad seeds.' Mr. Oak, for example, had five children. He killed all five, fearing they would overthrow him. Mrs. Oak hid the six child in the village and when he turned eighteen, Mr. Dr. Professor Oak overthrew his father. The country revolted against Mr. Oak for his cruelty and helped Mr. Dr. Professor Oak become leader. Five million lives were lost in this great war. After several years it was peaceful, but we are human, so wars broke out across the country and the world. The country Pepis, our now great ally, helped us through this turmoil. Our country is now great and prospering with the imports and exports that we share with Pepis. The people and land are prospering and we couldn't be more grateful for the dark times to just be a story.
