Pavonistade (pronounced /pɑːvəniːsteɪd/) (Pavon: Pavonisteid [puhˈviːəʊnˈsteɪd]; French: Pavinistède [pa:viŋi:stɛit]), officially the Pavonistadian States (Pavon: Strades Pavonisteidch; French: États Pavinistadiènnes) and also known as the States (les Strades or les États), is a federal constitutional presidential parliamentary republic containing 6 states and is both a sovereign state and a member of the European Union. Pavonistade is surrounded completely by the Pavonistadian Sea, in the Atlantic Ocean, and is located to the west of West Africa and the Canary Islands and northwest of Cape Verde.

Pavonistade is rather small compared to other nations of the world, with an overall area of 168,842 square kilometers (65,190 square miles). Pavonistade has the 24th highest population density in the world. Pavonistade possesses an exclusive economic zone that unusually expands in a southeastern direction instead of expanding in all directions. Pavonistade also possesses a large industrial capitalist economy nominally worth $3.66 trillion, the 4th largest in the world.

The islands that are now Pavonistade were first populated by indigenous people of European origins, and had remained isolated until 1601 CE, when explorer Harris Aquilino of France discovered and settled on the main island. French and British flocked to the islands and established the French New Colonies and the British New Colonies. The conflicts that ensued forced the British to cede its colonies to the French and wiped out all indigenous people, but far after managing to establish communication, trade, alliances, and the Pavon language. The unified New Colonies was under sole French control until independence on August 8, 1829, and the newly established Pavonistade, with its present states created, went on to become a powerful nation in modern times.

Pavonistade is a federation ruled under a parliamentary democracy and governed by a President and the Pavonistadian Government, both of which are elected every 4 years. At national levels, Pavonistade is officially a trilingual nation with Pavon, English, and French as its main and official languages. Pavonistade is populated by over 85,133,652 people, mainly consisting of Pavonistadian and European ethnicities, according to the 2013 Census of Pavonistade. An advanced economy, an intelligent and skilled labor force, and large trade networks between Western nations allow Pavonistade to evolve into a notable power with the acquisition of friendly relations with the West and other nations.

Pavonistade is a developed first-world nation and is considered to be a middle power with the potential to emerge as a great power. Pavonistadians have the ability to enjoy an opulent life, while the needy are appropriately cared for with successful charity programs and the national Volunteer Service. Pavonistade is a member of multiple international organizations such as the United Nations, European Union, World Trade Organization, G20, INTERPOL, NATO, et cetera.

Etymology

The name Pavonistade originates from the ancient word pavstadie, which was then evolved to Pavonistade for Gregorie Delphian Pavonistade. However, pavstadie is not part of any language and experts are still unsure of its origins, meanings, and first appearance.

During the 17th and 18th century, the British named their northern-Pavonistadian claims British New Colonies, while the French named their southern-Pavonistadian claims French New Colonies. At the latter half of the 18th century, the British were forced to hand over the colonies to the French. Now under sole French domination, the term New Colonies was used to refer to all parts of the Pavonistadian islands.

In 1829, after the New Colonies declared independence from France, Pavonistade is used to refer to the whole of the newly-independent nation. The nation is named after the founder of the capital, Gregorie Delphian Pavonistade. The official name of Pavonistade, the Democratic Pavonistadian States, was soon adopted for use after discussions between the newly-formed Pavonistadian Government. As of January 31, 2014, the word "Democratic" is removed from the official name, leaving behind Pavonistadian States. French was added as an official language of Pavonistade, with the French translation of the Pavonistadian States being États Pavinistadiènnes.

Another official name, the Democratic States of Pavonistade, was also adopted, but as of April 22, 2013 it is no longer used as an official name of Pavonistade.
